Ma belle femme
Hugh and I (for those who remember the TV comedy!)
Tine & Hugh
.................................................................................................................
These four photos take you over the end of August, beginning of September. The difference in the number of people around is staggering. From one day to the next you can cycle anywhere without problem, the car parks are empty and the town is manageable! I must say I preferred the buzz of the season beginning to the season ending.
Yes, nearly everyone's going home including our new friends Hugh and Jeanne who left for Eccles this morning. They treated us to a lovely meal out on Thursday at le Phare West (Great name!) and we said goodbye to them last night at Happy Hour. We're going to miss you folks and we will pop in if we're back in the North over the next few months. Promise!!
.
As you can see the pool has been getting good use to help us cope with the high temperatures that we were getting (sadly no longer the case, but more of that another day). On a recent walk along the jetty we found Hugh going to inspect the high tide. Tine told the two of us to breathe in, to no avail!!

Dave I am not sure that you are right when you tell your english friend that one day to the other you can cycle anywhere without problem, I will say that for one hour to the other it is not that sure this week!!!
Ask Martine what she thinks about it today, (if she was finihing in time working, by 12o'clock ????)
But anyway (Madame SOLEIL) says: you 'll be able to cycle to the beach this afternoon by 3 pm for a nice swim (les paris audacieux sont ouverts) le perdant offre l'apero a la Paillote des que possible
Dave, I forgot to say, not correct the title : END OF THE SUMMER le prochain tu vas devoir mettre : ETE INDIEN
Le titre exact devrait être end of the season
Car même les saisonniers se mettent à écrire 3 messages en 2 jours, c'est que cela sent les vacances ...
