Guess what? It's Nad here and I've hijacked the blog from Sheffield! I didn't do a blog whilst on my holidays so here it is...
.
I got to France on the Saturday afternoon as Papa already mentioned and was briskly whisked off to visit Gill. HUGE thumbs up to Gill's new pad; it's gorgeous and already very homely. Thanks for the lovely mini holiday (although we didn't all appreciate the middle of the night wake up call!)
.
We got to La Tranche on Sunday night to a fab quick omlette with home grown courgette and a chill out film evening which set the pace for the rest of the week! Lots of chilling out infront of films and eating delicious food with a couple of picturesque walks thrown in for good measure.
.
Here's a few other highlights:
-Having Jean, Monique and les enfants round for the evening
-A beautiful walk up the coast where there was a gorgeous flat 'lake' from the sea mirrored by crashing waves on the coast
-Papa's trifle (YUM!)
- Julie and Cedric's lunch time visit
- Sitting by the roaring fire
- Going to the packed swimming pool with Maman and chilling in the 'relax area' whilst laughing at the lads hogging the jacuzzi!
- Meeting up with Nicole and Daniel in Nantes on my last day; it really was amazing to see them again
- My DISASTROUS cabbage pie. Great looking recipe, unbelievably bad outcome!
.
Worse part was obviously having to leave again. I hate having to go, especially when it seems to go as fast as last week did, but I am now counting down 'till Christmas. Can't wait!

Merci, Nadine. Glad to see you had a good time,(but cabbage pie??)
Merci, papaman, for all the regular updates and the big skies.
See you at Christmas, bisous. LCA
Eh bien Nadine, j'espère que l'on arrivera à se voir lors de tes prochaines vacances, même si pour moi la période est un peu speed... Mais on essaiera de prendre le temps d'un café ou d'un chocolat chaud ...
Bisous
