Anil, Anita & Arun (accompanied by Astier) came to visit during Half Term and we were very fortunate with the weather as you can see from these photos in La Rochelle.
La Rochelle is one of those towns where there's always some kind of bustle but it did seem strange to see it with autumnal shades on the trees. Looking at Photo 3 you can see just how much Arun has grown. That's midget Tine next to him inspecting a modern globe on the waterfont.
Quickly followed by Father & Son doing sentry duty outside one of the towers, then back to Arun & Tine posing as Romeo & Juliet in reverse at l'Hôtel de Ville - thanks to Anita for these two photos.
I love my 'reflective' photo of the harbour. Finally an example of the displays of chrysanthemums which are everywhere for Toussaint (All Saints Day).
We had a fabulous time with our old Bingley neighbours, with far too many beers and a wonderful authentic curry one night. Shame they live so far still...
