Haworth

We managed quite a lot of sightseeing this visit, including Haworth, the home of the famous Brontë sisters. Haworth was always a 'must' for any French visitors when we lived in Bingley, and it's still as popular today, particularly as a big TV drama about the sisters was aired that evening.

Only the tower remains of the original church where the sisters' father was priest

Brontë Parsonage on a beautifully crisp December day

The graveyard is fascinating. Read about it on http://www.haworth-village.org.uk/history/church/bronte_church.asp

Branwell Brontë's local, the Black Bull, conveniently next to the church
Down and up the main street, still cobbled as in the old days

Local shops make the most of the heritage angle!

The following week we walked up above Haworth to Brontë Falls with Jim & Les

We still had beautiful weather, but rather cold I have to say

I promise you it isn't Jihadi Dave
