La Chaume

On the other side of the port of Les Sables d'Olonne lies La Chaume, an old fishing village now mainly bars and restaurants. I had an appointment nearby and decided to investigate the coast just to the north. I liked it so much I returned with Tine the following week!

I discovered a swimming pool. Not sure I'd fancy it even in the summer!

Loved these totem poles, also looking out to sea...
...not sure why though!
There's a huge lighthouse on land (that's me nearby)...
...and one out at sea, marking dangerous rocks.
I bet you're fed up of cormorants by now, this one drying off in the sun...
...until the shower starts again!
