Belle Île en Mer (3)

Back to overcast the next day, but that didn't stop us!

The votive ship in St Nicolas' Church, Sauzon... 
...and look at the landslip just behind. I'm glad I'm not living just above!

Under grey or blue skies, it's still a beautiful sleepy town...
...but I haven't seen it in full summer.
Later in the morning we walked to Port Scheul...

...a pebble beach that makes you think of smugglers.


In the afternoon back to Le Phare des Poulains...

...this time accompanied by JP&C's granddaughter Élia.
This sandbar connects the lighthouse island to Belle Île
The famous actress Sarah Bernhardt had a summer home here...
...but we had to make do with Donald Trump's head coming out of the sea.
