To complete a long, busy day we stopped in Camaret both to stretch our legs on the flat and have a sneaky drink of good old ale at a harbour-side bar!
I parked up rather a long way from the interesting part of the town and we had to wrap up well in the cooling temperature |
We loved this old boat graveyard... |
...with plenty of signs saying danger, keep away! |
Notre-Dame-de-Rocamadour, dedicated to the sailors of Camaret... |
...but the most famous building is the Vauban tower, completed in 1696 and still very impressive. |
But then it was time for a beer (and for me to fetch the car, spotting this sign possibly dedicated to 'our' Philippe on my way)! |
