Walk on Baildon Moor

We managed a day on our own between Alfie's and Nadine & Betty's visits, making the most of continuing good weather to climb up onto the moor behind the caravan park.

Can you spot Saltaire down in the valley?
Our next caravan awaiting its renovation
Yorkshire = sheep...
...and lambs.
Tine using her sticks
Nearly there
Made it to the trig point: on top of the world!
These are known as the Cinder Caves, not really caves but dug out by locals...
...some say they're just waste from old coal mines, worked up to the Victorian era.
The view as we walked back, the barren moors giving way to lush pastures

Brimham Rocks

When Nadine & Simon spent a few days at the caravan earlier this year they asked for some exploration suggestions. Alfie loved Brimham Rocks so much that he asked if we could go again (and who are we to refuse).

But first cuddles with newborn Alina: Jodi, Mouse & Phoebe very happy with the latest addition to the family

I took so many pictures at Brimham Rocks that it's been hard to whittle them down for here!
Alfie still modelling Mamie's knitting of course

We were joined by Steve & Maddie. Here the Madster & Alf show how strong they are!

On our way back we stopped at a local farm for a drink/snack/ice cream but these new lambs were the big attraction

A lodger at the caravan

Yes, Alfie came to stay for a few days and we made the most of it with several excursions to Alfie-flavoured spots!

Of course playparks go without saying, this one down in Saltaire
On to Haworth but it was too late to go on the steam train...

...so back to the caravan via 5 Rise Locks in good old Bingley.

Next day back to Haworth

Yes, we managed a round-trip to Keighley...

...even getting out to watch the engine doing its manoeuvres.

Another playpark in St Ives...

...Alfie modelling Mamie's knitting...

...and showing off his running skills.
A quick circuit around the lake with some of its many water birds...
...and a very special leaping stone fish!

Mainly Betty

Yes, our little granddaughter is growing up, 15 months old when these photographs were taken, and a real character!

Loving her 'Wendy House'. Can you spot Philippe inside?

And in her vehicle!
Meanwhile young Alfie's having fun in the playpark not far from chez lui

It looks like Betty's enjoying it too
Back at home, Papy's iPad has got the two rogues enthralled!

Nadine & Betty came to stay at the caravan for a few days

Betty loved the freedom (and we enjoyed the safety) of the terrace!
Down in Roberts Park, Betty shows off her scootering skills...

...before becoming a fashion model for friend Adam.

Another day cousins Betty & Rosie met up to play on the swings...
...and have a drink at the café.
