Ciutadella

Our second day was spent mainly relaxing by the pool, but next day our itchy feet took us to Ciutadella. Luckily Mo's expert driving in the hire car got us to the west of the island with ease. It has to be said the roads were good and not at all congested.

Once the capital of Menorca, Ciutadella has a colonial feel about the buildings

Spotted: two old men having a rest in the shade
There was a lovely view over  the natural harbour...

...and fascinating walks along the narrow streets...

...this one blocked for a street party!
Isn't it time you were dressed, m'dear?
Sadly the market was closed (it was Sunday afternoon, after all).
Down another narrow street for a better view of the harbour
