A quick visit to the East Coast

We were nearing the end of our stay back in the UK (complete with sneaky holiday in Menorca) but we couldn't resist an overnight stop chez Norma in her new weektime home near Filey.

First stop Scarborough with memories of family holidays there as a child

Fishing is still big business...
...as this wonderful sculpture depicts.
Tut tut, Tine with two glasses of rosé

Next morning Norma left for work and we started exploring

First stop, Cayton Bay, and look at that perfect sky!

Evidence that the East Coast is crumbling into the sea
Second and last stop, Filey, a resort I'd never visited before
I took this photo for the people behind, not la belle Tine. They were obviously having  a great time!
Tine's latest friend, 12 ft (3.6 m) tall Finlay, named by a local junior school pupil in a competition

And so another trip back 'home' comes to an end...

...but look at the fantastic sunset waiting for us in Portsmouth...
...not to mention our regular last drink in our favourite pub.
