La Chapelle du Calvaire de Castillon-en-Couserans

Continuing our exploration we arrived at a beautiful chapel in Castillon-en-Couterans. A man appeared out of nowhere offering us the key to visit the interior. It was well worth it!

And what a key!

Once inside we were impressed by the light and the chapel's simplicity

Wow, that's what I call a pulpit!

The exterior was equally impressive...

...with views of snow-capped peaks...

...and the settlement below.

A few weeks later we watched an edition of 'Des Racines et des Ailes',  a documentary filmed in the area taking us back to the chapel again.
