The weather didn't improve but we hardy souls ventured onwards.
Firstly the lovely, simple chapel at Le Petit Vieil...
...with its beautifully intricate stained glass window.
Onto la Plage de la Clere with its fascinating buildings
Mr Google didn't tell us who this soldier was...
...but he had an audience.
We found a small island there with its own footpath causeway and 'écluse à poissons' (a fish trap made of small rocks)
This property had its own gate and private steps to the beach
The sun even made an appearance for a short while but we were still glad we were wrapped up!
