So, yet another French national holiday, this time for the Assumption on 15th August. Early in the morning I'd driven up to Nantes airport to fetch Philippe, Si, Jodi & Mouse, leaving Nadine and 'er from Brittany behind to prepare our traditional buffet meal.
.
It was quite a Bingley-fest with the Owens and Schofields well represented (not forgetting 'er from Brittany of course). Nad & Gill did us proud - up to Tine's standard and plenty was eaten and drunk.
.
We ventured to the main beach at dusk arriving just in time for the first fireworks. Once again it was a superb display, all the better for having Helen & Mo with us for their 1st La Tranche fireworks. Back to La Paillote for more drinks afterwards - what a great day!
.
ps. Forgot about the new tent for Phil out in the garden - 2 seconds to put up but a little longer to put away! And what do you think of the sunflowers by the new shed. Impressive, huh?

Si seulement Christie avait lu "the tent comment" before buying one. She left it at the music festival unable to put it away......
Never mind the music was good.
