Candelaria cliff walk

We fancied a day staying locally so we used the excellent bus service again, returning to Candelaria but this time to walk the cliffs above the town.

A different view of the basilica...

...and one of the Guanche statues.
The landscape is very rugged...
...with magnificent views.

It was fun watching the waves crashing into the rocks on one of the black beaches

A yellow bugloss (still alive!)...
...and wild euphorbia.
Not sure how this fisherman got here!
We walked back to the hotel and treated ourselves to a dip in the pool followed by a beer in the room with a view.
