The season begins

May has four national holidays in France but this year the first two fell at the weekend, and with many outlets closed the town hasn’t been as busy as usual.

Even so preparations continue with fingers crossed for a relaxation of rules.

 
Summer constructions have reappeared near to the jetty...

...including Côté Plage beach restaurant serving takeaways...

...like this one. No tables, rules are rules after all.

There are lots of boats back in the bay after their ‘hivernage’ (winter holidays in dry dock)...


...whilst sportier types perfect their skills.


On le plan d’eau many people are taking (socially distanced) sailing lessons


The main square looks quiet despite it being market day...

...but more people are about, the vast majority wearing masks.
