Oh our lovely Yorkshire château, we’ve missed you!
And this is the view from the caravan, with Saltaire at our feet
Walking up onto the moors there’s an even bigger view, the terraced housing of Saltaire easily spotted
We ventured up to Dobrudden, the campsite above ours as we’d heard good things about the breakfast to be had in the café there
As we say, ‘the proof of the pudding is in the eating’ (and this was just the medium-sized breakfast)!
Tine happy with her coffee
Another day on Baildon Moor we walked up to the trig point, the highest place around…
… and on the way we spotted several rabbits, not at all fearful of our presence.
Regular visitors on our campsite: peacocks…
(Even snoozing all in a row at another caravan!)
…and grey squirrels.
We love the Jurassic plant nearby, with its giant leaves and strange flowers
Back to food and drink
Tine enjoying lunch outside…
…not forgetting the obligatory glass of rosé.
Of course the Old Glen pub is a short walk away…
…or a longer walk to the Goose Eye Brewery in Bingley…
…a real brewery with pub upstairs, followed by a (nice & cheap) taxi back to the van.
