Daniel took us into the mountains, just on the Spanish border
At the side of the road, wild horses…
…some younger than others.
Once walking we came across this cromlech, a stone circle of standing stones, largely hidden from view after the passage of time
There weren’t many people about but lots more horses to be seen…
…enjoying the good grazing.
Sheep too!
I took this photo of Betizu cattle…
…before reading that you shouldn’t approach them as they can be aggressive!
More approachable, Tine with one foot in France and one foot in Spain
Your faithful blogger too!
The ‘golf ball’ marks the summit of Artzamendi, a favourite with cyclists apparently
Daniel & Tine in position to watch the aerobatics show…
…a host of vultures, launching themselves from the cliff face.
(You might have to zoom in to see them!)
A couple to finish with one of the vultures doing his display not far from us
But those clouds meant impending rain, and time to walk back to the car.
