Cold but happy

Just got in from a drive to La Terrière (to keep the car happy - not used it in a few days!) where we had a short walk along the beach. It has been so cold recently with a low of minus six the other night and just touching zero in the daytime. I know we're lucky to have blue skies but you're very glad to be back in front of the log fire! The beach/seascape was taken this afternoon whilst the other two photos were taken a week ago when the seas were still quite rough.
.
We went to La Rochelle on Saturday with the Four Cousins to watch 'Stomp'. What an excellent show, done with great humour. Afterwards we went for a lovely meal just along the road from the theatre. We all met again next day to go to Julie & Cedric's where I had yet another oyster (one only, mind!!) They have worked really hard on their house and they should be very proud.

Last week Tine put our forms in at the Town Hall asking permission to convert the garage into living space - they have to give their response within a month so keep your fingers crossed! We also had a builder and joiner round to look at the plans and both seem keen to work for us. Where are you when we need you, Mick?!
