Last stop in the South West

Of course we couldn't do a visit to the South West without calling on Anil, Anita & Arun in Dordogne, especially as we hadn't seen them in a year. The weather had improved by then even if the nights were still cold.

Firstly Arun at 14 (ok, nearly 15) - how big is he going to get?!

I know AAA are fed up with living in the mobile home but it really is a little palace and Anita rustles up some wonderful meals there.

There is only one word to describe the new house - HUGE! Admittedly others have helped but most of the graft has been done by AAA and we are very proud of them.

Look at all the solar panels, each one extremely heavy and laboriously positioned. The mobile home is dwarfed by the new building!

We ate in their new kitchen/dining room on the first night, decorations still up from a big meal they through for their neighbours. Of course you have to imagine all the units and furniture!

Here is the view of the house from the vineyard just up a track from their property.

Tine went a-wandering with the camera and came back with these two fabulous photos. Frogs and chestnuts, anyone?

We had a walk near to their local town of Vergt and spotted this beautiful stained glass window in the church there.

Back to the house, and please meet Annabel the hen who popped out to see us one day. Sadly her sisters have all been tasty morsels for a local fox.

And final, AAA with A(stier) after we'd been out to celebrate my impending birthday.
