All good things come to an end but we made the most of our journey back to La Tranche by doing a bit of sightseeing on the way.

| Just over the border into Charente we came across the magnificent hill-top Château Villebois-Lavalette, and couldn't resist doing a detour to get a closer look |

| Unluckily for us visits in winter months are just in the morning. Another one to go on the list. |
