Île de Ré: Bicycle adventures (1)

And yes, for all you purists out there it IS an electric bike, perfect for this comparative novice!

Back on our bikes, but we spot a windmill in the distance. We couldn’t resist stopping.

It’s the Moulin de Bellerre, built before 1627...

... and the only windmill on the island with sails.

It finished working in 1922 and is now a private residence
