Sakoneta

Next day we were taken over the border into Spain to an impressive coastline at Sakoneta near to Deba & Itziar.

There was a giant spider to great us on the wall of the (sadly closed) taverna…

…but we soldiered on through the the glades…

…spotting wild orchids along our way.


First sight of the weird rock formations on the beach…

…with Tine camera-phone ready.

The geology was stunning…


…as these photos show.

I can’t say it was the easiest terrain to walk on…


…but we made it!
