Le Pouliguen & Guérande ramparts

We drove to the coast to visit Le Pouligen in the beautifully hot early evening. Like La Tranche there was an expectant atmosphere of people getting ready for the full holiday season.

Between Guérande and the coast are the famous salt marshes

Le Pouligen seemed like a sleepy resort. No doubt it won't be the same in July & August!
A reflective moment by l'Etier du Pouliguen, the river that marks a boundary between Le Pouliguen and La Baule
We found Sacha's car on an old-fashioned roundabout!
Next morning we explored the ramparts of Guérande, only about a third of which are accessible by the public at the moment.
Standards flying for the impending mediaeval weekend

And there we left Guérande but there's more to come next time, recounting our journey back to La Tranche.
