Le calvaire monumental de Tronoan et les tulipes de la Torche

From Wikipedia: 'The Breton calvaire is distinguished from a simple crucifix cross by the inclusion of three-dimensional figures surrounding the crucifixion itself, typically representing Mary and the apostles of Jesus, though later saints and symbolic figures may also be depicted.'

I'll let the pictures do the talking here!

Our final stop of the day was at the tulip fields of La Torche and we even took a mini-train to travel around the vast fields.

We were greeted by this huge representation of St George's Chapel, Windsor, created with flower petals
Was this a Brexit statement by the tulip bulb producers?
Afternoon tea is always like this in our house!
The tulip fields were slightly past their best...

...but what an array of colours.

Sorry this isn't smellevisiom, you'll have to imagine the heavy scent of all these hyacinths.
A final thought for the workers...
...in back-breaking conditions.
