Dinard

Last stop before boarding the ferry at Saint Malo: Dinard, the destination for my parents' only holiday in France (besides our wedding in Paris)!

It's an old-school, northern France holiday resort with interesting buildings...

...a beautiful main beach...

...and sea-water swimming pool, refreshed each high tide.

Round the Pointe du Moulinet headland...

...we can spot Saint Malo but our ferry hasn't arrived yet!

...complete with Alfred Hitchcock statue. Go back to the first photo: it's rumoured that Hitchcock based the house in Psycho on this mansion. Dinard hosts a British film festival each year, I'm told.

No guessing where we are now, Pastis & white wine as a welcome apéritif before our evening meal on board.
