Le Puy du Fou, again!

Those of you with good recall will remember we visited Le Puy du Fou last year, complete with Tine in her wheelchair. This year we had no excuse to jump to the front of the queue for each spectacle but it was no less enjoyable.

First stop, Le Bal des Oiseaux Fantômes

Sadly these photos don't do it justice...

...especially the finale with hundreds of birds zooming past your head.
Our favourite spectacle is still Les Vikings...
...with its wonderful set...
...including attacking Viking ships.
The heat is immense when the tower is set alight
Perhaps the most famous spectacle is Le Signe du Triomphe...
...in the enormous replica Gallo-Roman Stadium...
...complete with chariot race...
...Centurions vs Christians, with a very hungry lion to hand...
...and yet another big finale.

Have a look at https://www.puydufou.com/en/spectacles and click on some of the videos to get more of an idea of what a fantastic day out it is (not to mention VERY tiring)!

You cant see those birds enough times. The whole place is fantastic but the bird experience was wow when we went.
