110th celebrations

Yes, two big birthdays for the price of one!

I knew there was something going on but I hadn't expected such a celebration. I played into Tine's hands when 'Er from Brittany turned up 'out of the blue' and I offered to take her menhir/dolmen spotting (more preparation time for Madame).

Later the three of us called at the Starfish for apéritifs and were just about to leave when nephew Rémi came in, closely followed by Loulou & Sylvie. Very strange as they live over 5 hours away. A short while later in came old Bingley neighbours, Anil & Anita, who now live in Dordogne. After a fun evening chez nous and a good sleep I went out to do my walk, arriving back to yet more visitors, Nicole & Daniel from Anglet.

What I didn't know was that Tine & Cynthia had been preparing for weeks, so at 6 o’clock we all trouped down to the Starfish to find the place decorated for our birthdays, and lots more younger guests. The girls (with Anna's help) had prepared a lovely spread with plenty to drink and even our favourite local band Idle Fingers to play into the night.

Enough writing now, on with the photos!

The important thing here is to watch Guy photobombing us!

God Save Matt & Dave: it's a bit late for that, methinks

Onto serious business, blowing out the candles

Idle Fingers, very photogenic even when not posing...

...and Matt doing his traditional turn when the band plays at the Starfish.

Séb, Marine & Marie in charge of the crèche...

...whilst we boogied on down.

I reckon Matt's is a bit too big to be sitting on this old man's knee

Next day Sacha & Rémi are now best friends...

...your faithful blogger's got a new t-shirt and mask...

...and we all came away with a souvenir!

J'y étais !!!!! Ce fut une très belle chouette fête, même si vos deux autres "petits" ont bien dû vous manquer...
