A week in Brittany: La Pointe de la Torche to Lesconil

After a wild & wet night we woke up to clear blue skies and an idea: wouldn't the seas be rough on the west coast? I bet you're impressed by our joined-up thinking!!

And here is La Pointe de la Torche with amazing waves. We saw one kite surfer but apparently this is a very popular surfing beach.

The rains returned but stopped long enough for us to explore the fishermen's quayside at  St Guénoé
The church at Penmarc'h
Lesconil with its rather modern cairns,
a construction of unknown use

and a pit formally used for burning seaweed to create soda - yes, I've done my research!

Wow, I'd love a frolic in those waves!
