A week in Brittany: Thatched cottages & Pont-Aven

We sat in the car for a good quarter of an hour waiting for a heavy hailstorm to stop, then wandered into the chocolate box perfect village of Kerascoët with its thatched cottages.




Next onto Pont-Aven which is an artist's haven with galleries all over

Even the town hall got in on the act
Pont-Aven once had 14 flour mills along the river

It's only a few kilometres from the coast and attracts the sailing fraternity
Not ANOTHER cormorant, in the town centre!
An old (not very discrete) toilet block in front of one of the many biscuit manufacturers. Aha, that's what the the mills were for...
